Use Digestive Enzymes to Reduce Hemorrhoid Inflammation

Using digestive enzymes when you have hemorrhoids is a good idea.

Digestive enzymes help reduce inflammation, reduce fibrin, and

clean the blood of foreign particles. These enzymes activities

strengthen your immune system and give it more power to work on

your hemorrhoids.

Bromelain

Bromelain is a digestive enzyme that is found in pineapple. It’s

capable of reducing inflammation and swelling and for this reason

has been used to treat hemorrhoids.

Bromelain also activates a chemical that promotes the breakdown

of fibrin. Fibrin is a chemical that repairs open wounds,

internal wounds and weak tissue by creating fibrin deposits. If

you are over 35, fibrin is not balanced with your body’s enzymes.

This results in excess fibrin deposits at inflamed locations,

eventually causing more sickness and disease. Disease.

To balance and control excess fibrin activity, you need to take

digestive or systemic enzymes. Systemic enzymes are enzymes that

work throughout the body to attack blood impurities and dissolve

fibrin.

As a supplement take 500-750 mg a day. You can also add fresh

pineapple to your diet since it is high in fiber and other

nutrients.

Digestive and Systemic Enzymes

Digestive enzymes are used to help you digest your food and

improve your assimilation. Systemic enzymes are found deep into

our body. They are in your tissues, organs, and cells where they

help in all types of chemical reactions that your body is

involved in.

Both types of these enzymes are available in capsules so you can

easily supplement your diet. Digestive enzymes help to reduce

the stress you get in the rectum when your food is not properly

digested. Undigested food reaching the colon eventually leads to

constipation.

Take a good digestive enzyme that you can get at health food

store. Take 2 capsules with each meal.

Systemic enzymes help reduce swelling, inflammation, improve

circulation, and speed the healing of tissue. One important fact

about systemic enzymes is they eliminate fibrin, which is at

center of most inflammatory conditions and illness.

Take systemic enzymes between meals. This allows them reach the

small intestine and get absorbed into the blood stream where they

can do their work.

Some systemic enzymes are enteric enzymes, which means they are

coated so they will not dissolve in the stomach. This allows them

to move into the small intestine where they will be absorbed into

your blood stream.

The brand Vitalzyme contains serrapeptase, a systemic enzyme that

is mix with other nutrients and enzymes. Just put Vitalzyme or

serrapeptase into the goggle engine. This will bring in a flood

of sites for you to chose a good systemic enzyme.

Country Decorating Ideas - Create Warmth And Charm With Country Style Decorating Ideas

Country decorating ideas can help you create a home that is
warm, inviting and the perfect home to live in. Country style
decorating ideas can help you capture the spirit of country
living during modern times. If you are restoring a country
home, try to keep the original woodwork, windows, floors,
fixtures and cabinetry unless they are beyond salvaging. For
decorating a new or existing home, there are choices you can
make that will provide you with the charm and comfort of life
in the countryside.

Consider these country decorating ideas and country style
decorating ideas:

1. Country Dining Rooms - use a large rectangular table made of
pine, oak, walnut or mahogany with wooden chairs or old benches
that are similar in style and material. A corner cupboard,
plate racks, dresser or sideboard will provide perfect storage
and serving area for the dining room as long as they match the
style and the materials of the table and chairs.

2. Country Bathroom Decorating - country bathroom floors are
made of wood, ceramic tile, linoleum, vinyl or natural cork.
Carpeting used in the country bathroom is not appropriate. Wood
and brass accessories are perfect materials to use in a country
bathroom. Plain white towels instead of patterned or bright
modern patterns are better. Wicker or wire baskets keep your
sponges, loofas and shampoos handy near the tub or shower
besides looking great.

3. Country Kitchen Decorating Ideas - use country decorating
ideas in your kitchen. Give your kitchen a calm, elegant
country atmosphere with soft colored walls, antique-looking
lighting (chandeliers with wrought iron arms), wooden antiques
or antique reproduction cabinets, plate racks and stone or wood
fireplaces. Kitchen cabinets made of wood, aged surfaces,
natural materials, rough finishes and round knobs provide a
country style. Cabinets or kitchen furniture made of pine, even
painted, can be beautiful key elements in the country kitchen.
Country kitchen countertops use ceramic tiles or even hand
painted tiles, slate or marble. If you want to use laminate
materials, go for plain colors for coverings. Terracotta tiles,
brick, stone and wood are very popular materials for country
kitchen floors.

4. Kids Rooms - use wicker baskets, wooden chests and wooden
bookshelves for storing books, toys and stuffed animals. When
using tall bookshelves in your kids rooms, anchor them to the
ceiling or walls so they cannot tip over. Bright colored
plastic boxes are not good country style decorating ideas.

5. Furniture - furniture with simple lines, perhaps made of
lacquered pine wood works great. Give furniture a rustic look
by finishing it in a distressed, aged way. For example, brush
on a coat of paint, then rub most of the paint off with a
sponge or cloth. When dried, apply wood stain sealer unevenly.
It will be perfect! Or use two paint colors and sandpaper to
create a distressed look for unpainted or previously painted
surfaces. Get free country decorating ideas by visiting your
local home decorating or paint store for help with materials
and techniques. Have fun looking for antiques, reproductions
and handmade products when buying furniture for your country
home.

6. Sofas or Love Seats - country decorating ideas can transform
your love seat or sofa. Add a beautiful loose floral print
slipcover for a romantic country look. Include padded stools
and ottomen for comfort and as a place to set your drinks or
newspaper. Add one or more rocking chairs. Traditional country
chairs and sofas have high backs. And if the living room has a
bay window, consider building a window seat with several
cushions, a perfect place for reading and relaxing. High tripod
side tables are appropriate next to the sofa or love seat for
country home decor.

7. Antique Cupboards or White Cabinets - use a white cabinet or
antique cupboard to show your ceramics, pottery, yellowware
bowls, glass jars, or a collection of enamelware from 75 years
ago to give your home a beautiful country style. Open shelving
not only provides storage, it gives the room a country look,
especially when earthware, stoneware and rustic items are
displayed.

Country decorating ideas and country style decorating ideas
remind us of the way life was lived many years ago. Everyday
country life was often difficult, filled with physical demands
and long hours. Even so, country life was simpler and closer to
nature without the stress of modern city life.

Use country decorating ideas to help recreate the ambience,
peacefulness and pleasures of this closeness to nature without
having to endure the hardships. Read all you can find about
country style decorating ideas. From using old furniture to the
colors and fabrics you choose to how your things are arranged,
create the country atmosphere in your home that celebrates the
lifestyle that used to be.

Casares, the most famous of the "White Villages"

The white villages, or pueblos blancos, of Andalucia, Spain are world
famous for their beauty and uniqueness. Casares is one of the best.

The Costa del Sol is blessed with several traditional Spanish white villages,
or Pueblos Blancos, each with its own unique atmosphere. However there
is something about the village of Casares that just makes you stand and stare.

As you approach Casares up a steep winding slope it is difficult to prevent
yourself from taking a sharp intake of breath and saying outload: "wow!"
Stop the car, climb out and admire the vista from a fantastic viewing point just on
the edge of the village, looking down across the entire valley.

Hundreds of white -washed homes perch precariously across the hillside,
below the battlements of an old Arabic castle. Hold onto your sunhat
though because the viewing point can sometimes be a real wind trap!

From here take one of the many paths leading down into the village and
experience a perfect day exploring the multitude of steep, winding streets and footpaths
that make up the delightful village of Casares. For the most part it is
traffic free, having been built in the days long before the motorcar when
the only form of transport was the donkey.

Head first for the Plaza de EspaƱa- the main square. Here you will discover
the statue of Blas Infante, the Andlucian Nationalist leader who was born in
Casares in 1885. There is also a fountain where you can refresh
yourself with a drink of cold, clear, fresh mountain water. Blas Infante's
birthplace has now been turned into a museum and tourist information
centre.

From the centre take one of the roads leading onwards and upwards until
you reach the old monastry and ruined church. The views from here towards
the coast are spectacular and you look down a gully where it is
reputed that Franco dispossed of his enemies during the time of the
civil war, there is a poignant iron cross commemorating those who perished.
The base of the walls date back to the Moors as does one of
the arches you may have passed through depending on your route up.
Everything above shoulder height though is more likely to have been built
after 1500. Just below the monastry you will find a museum with many
old artifacts depicting life in and around Casares through the ages.
Be sure to descend via a different route in order to see as much as possible.

Casares, as with any Spanish village, has its fair share of bars and
restaurants so be sure to partake of some local tapas. The people are very
friendly and welcoming and I am sure you will spend a memorable day in the
town.

The 2 annual ferias are held on the first weekend in August and on the
weekend closest to September 15th. They also celebrate a procession
of the Three Kings on the evening of January 5th.

After exploring the village you may like to head up the Sierra Crestillina,
which is a parque natural just on the outskirts of the village. You will
find a signpost to it near to bar/restaurante Laura.A circular
footpath has been put in right round the mountain and it is approximately a
four hour walk. The scenary and views are fantastic but be sure to take
some water with you as it can get quite hot. Good footware is also
essential as the descent towards the end of the trail can be quite trickey.

The Wonderful Benefits of the Mediterranean Diet.

The Mediterranean Diet is now recognized as one of the healthiest in
the world consisting as it does of large amounts of fresh fruit and
vegetables, salads, nuts, seeds, omega-3 rich oily fish, olives and
olive oil and being comparitively low in dairy products and red meats.

The people of the Mediterranean region, particuarly Greece and Spain,
are very fortunate to live in an area where naturally healthy food is
readily and cheaply available. The incidence of heart disease and
cancer are lower here than anywhere else in the western world and
experts now believe this is due in great part to what has become known
as the Mediterranean diet.

Modern farming techniques and world wide transport has changed most
peoples diets dramatically in the past centuary and it is now widely
believed that such changes have had an exteremely detrimental effect
on our health. Fortunately the impact of these developments has not
had such a catastrophic effect in Mediterranean regions
where to a large extent traditional diets are still followed. Of
course with the advent of Globalization and MacDonald's! this is sadly
changing. However we can all learn alot form what has become known as
the Mediterranean diet and by adopting it,vastly improve our health
and longevity.

The foods that grow natuarlly and abundantly in that region and have
always formed a part of the local diet are as follows:-
Olives, avocados, oranges, lemons, garlic, wild asparagus, walnuts,
almonds,tomatoes, artichokes, figs, pomegranates, cherries,
strawberries, grapes, plums, spinach, broad beans, peppers along with
many other of the more common fruits and vegetables. These provide
large amounts of vitamins, minerals and fibre along with a wide
variety of antioxidants and phytochemicals, the importance of which
scientists are only now beginning to recognize as they discover more
and more healthful benefits of including these elements in our diet.

Historically alot of the milk was produced from goats and cheese made
from goats and ewes milk. Very little red meat is eaten and a large
majority of the protein is supplied by oily fish such as sardines,
mackerel, tuna, sword fish,
boquerones
and anchovies.

The main oil used is olive, traditionally cold pressed virgin, and
this is used not only for cooking and in salads but also for putting
on bread in place of butter.

All these foods provide a wide variety of nutriments which have an
astonishing array of claims for improving our health such as lowering
cholesterol, improving our immune system which thus not only fights
infections but also helps to prevent cancer, increasing our
metabolism, improving insulin sensitivity and thus lessening the risk
of diabetes. It really has never been so true that you are what you eat.
Certainly since moving to Andalucia and adopting the Mediteranean diet
myself I have never been so healthy or managed to maintain my ideal
weight so easily.

Of coures in addition to all the healthy components of this diet there
is the added fact that honey is often used in place of sugar and little
refined carbohydrates are eaten.

All in all most experts now agree that the Mediterranean diet is the
optimum diet.

Cooling Tips- How to save energy and stay cool

Cooling Tips- How to save energy and stay cool
By Steven Boaze

While most of the United States is under a heatwave, other
locations around the globe are feeling the impact of high
costs regarding utilities.

what I'm about to give you, is from 28 years experience of
HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air conditioning) in the
residential, commercial and Industrial construction trade.

Heating and cooling your home uses more energy and drains
more energy dollars than any other system in your home.
Typically, 44% of your utility bill goes for heating and
cooling. What's more, heating and cooling systems in the
United States together omit over half billion tons of
carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year, adding to
global warming. They also generate about 24% of the
nitrogen oxides, the chief ingredients in acid rain.

No matter what kind of heating, ventilating, and air
conditioning system you have in your house, you can save
money and increase comfort by properly maintaining and
upgrading your equipment. But remember, an energy efficient
furnace/air conditioner alone will not have as great an
impact on your energy bills as using the whole-house
approach. By combining proper equipment maintenance and
upgrades with appropriate insulation, weatherization, and
thermostat settings, you can cut your energy bills and your
pollution output in half.

AIR CONDITIONERS

It might surprise you to know that buying a bigger room
air-conditioner unit won't necessarily make you feel more
comfortable during the hot summer months. In fact, a room
air conditioner that's too big for the area it is supposed
to cool will perform less efficiently and less effectively
than a smaller, properly sized unit.

This is because room units work better if they run for
relatively long periods of time than if they continually
switching off and on. Longer run times allow air
conditioners to maintain a more constant room temperature.

Sizing is equally important for central air-conditioning
systems, which need to be sized by professionals. If you
have a central air system in your home, set the fan to shut
off at the same time as the cooling unit (compressor). In
other words, don't use the system's central fan to provide
circulation, but instead use circulating fans in individual
rooms.

MAXIMIZE COOLING

¤ Whole-house fans help cool your home or apartment by
pulling cool air through the house and exhausting warm air
through the attic. They are effective when operating at
night and when the outside air is cooler than the inside.

¤ Set your thermostat as high as comfortably possible in
the summer- especially during very hot days. The less
difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures, the
lower your overall bill will be.

¤ Do Not set your thermostat at a colder setting than
normal when you turn on your air conditioner. It will not
cool your home or apartment any faster and could result in
excessive cooling, and therefore, unnecessary expense.

¤ Consider using an interior fan in conjunction with your
window air-conditioner to spread the cooled air more
effectively through the rooms without greatly increasing
your power usage.

¤ Do Not place lamps or TV sets near your air conditioning
thermostat. the thermostat senses heat from these
appliances, which can cause the air conditioner to run
longer than necessary.

¤ Plant trees or shrubs to shade air conditioning units,
but not to block the airflow. A unit operating in the shade
uses as much as 10% less electricity than the same one
operating in the sun.

PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTATS

¤ You can save as much as 10% a year on your home heating
and cooling bills by simply turning your thermostat back
10% to 15% for 8 hours. You can do this automatically
without sacrificing comfort by installing an automatic
setback or programmable thermostat.

¤ Using a programmable thermostat, you can adjust the time
you turn on the heating or air conditioning according to a
pre-set schedule. As a result, you don't operate the
equipment as much when you're asleep or when the house or
part of the house is not occupied.

¤ Programmable thermostats can store and repeat multiple
daily settings (six or more temperature settings a day)
that you can manually override without affecting the rest
of the daily or weekly program.

WINDOWS

Windows can be one of your home's most attractive features.
They provide views, day lighting, ventilation, and solar
heating in the winter. Unfortunately, they can also account
for 10% to 25% of your utility bill. During the summer,
sunny windows make your air conditioner work two to three
times harder.

¤ Install white window shades, drapes, or blinds to reflect
heat away from the glass window on the house or apartment.
Close curtains on south and west facing windows. Apply
sun-control films on south-facing windows to reduce solar
gain.

MISCELLANEOUS

¤ Clean or replace filters once a month or as needed. Seal
and/or insulate all ductwork associated with the system.
Keep your fireplace (if any) damper closed. Caulk cracks
around windows and doors. Use fluorescent lamps which are
much more efficient than incandescent bulbs and last 6 to
10 times longer. Turn off lights in any room you're not
using. Open windows when possible to ventilate at night.

These are fundamental and basic energy saving tips you can
do to live in a cool comfortable environment while
operating your cooling system. By working all these
principles, and staying cool during the "Dog Days" of
summer, you'll be saving energy at the same time. Steven Boaze, Chairman, is The Owner of Boaze.com

How Ad Tracking Helped Create a Killer Ad

Email Advertising - How Ad Tracking Helped Create a Killer Ad
© Copyright 2005 Charlie Cory

I recently undertook an email advertising promotion,
using a number of advertising media. The exercise
involved a program of mine called the Magical Marketing
system.

As an email advertising Internet marketing exercise, I
decided that I wanted to approach the members of some
of the affiliate programs that are featured in Magical
Marketing, and offer their members the chance to join
this system, and reap the benefit of the multiple
promotion methods that it employs.

And, as an email advertising marketing exercise, this has
worked very well, and whilst an interesting exercise in
Joint Venture Marketing in itself, it has produced a result
so remarkable in my eyes, that I felt it worthy of a report.

With one particular featured program, I did a multiple ad
test, to see what the comparison between three ads. It
was the results of this that struck me, and prompted me
to put this article together.

The three ads, which were very similar. This is good of
course, because it means that any variance in the results
can be explained in relatively few ways. So there are two
points that need to be made about these ads, which may
affect your thinking about how you write your own ads.

1. Use Of Variables in Headlines

I don't know about you, but I am always hearing that
using someone's name in an advert can make a
significant difference to the effect of that advert. Not all
programs have this kind of facility though. It just happens
the program that I ran the adverts with does, so I made
use of it in the headlines for 2 of the 3 adverts, but not
for one of them. I have used the variable in the body of
all three ads, so some personalisation took place in all
cases.

2. Bulleted Benefits

Again, all the books and articles that I have ever read tell
you to spell out the benefits, and a lot of them tell you to
bullet them to add emphasis. So, I have done this with all
three adverts, but with a difference between ads 1,and 2
and 3. In the first advert, I just made single word
references to the benefits, in the other two, I elaborated
in order to explain the benefit better.

3. Conclusions

The results are so striking, that they are worthy of
comment.

The ads were placed from 12th December 2004 to 18h
January 2005. So, the time span is about a month, but, I
use the program in question to send other ads out too.
About every 3rd day, I will send one of these three ads,
in rotation. So, each of the ads would have been sent
about every 6 days or so.

Advert 1 pulled in 70 unique hits, with 19 action hits. The
latter is where prospects followed through to the sign up
page.

Advert 2 pulled 5 unique hits and 1 action hit.

Advert 3 pulled 4 unique hits and no action hits.

Headlines
I have always advocated trying to keep headlines short,
especially where email adverts are concerned. You only
have the width of the email pane to enter your message,
so you must tell your story within a few words.

I don't consider any of the Headlines that I have used to
be excessively long. However, the first advert is very
short, and perhaps that accounts in part for the huge
number of additional clicks for the first advert?

In part, I believe that this is true.

However, I am now thinking that perhaps email
prospects have become wary of seeing their name in
emails from people that they don't really know. Think
about how you react when you see such an email?

Do you open it immediately, or do you become
suspicious?

Trust your gut feeling.

I have used the personalised approach in the body of the
email, and maybe the psychology here is that once
someone has opened an email, they have 'let you in' and
are more amenable to your being personal.

Headline conclusion
I am more convinced than ever that email headlines
should be short - as short as possible. I also recommend
that if you personalise the Headline, you stop, and test
your ads without it.

Bulleted Benefits
You can see that advert 1 has produced a massive
amount of additional click thru's over the other two ads.
Bearing in mind that each ad went out, probably every six
days, the first two ads are not far removed from the norm
with the program that I used. This makes the results
achieved by Advert 1 even more staggering.

The change in headline may go some way to explain this,
but the huge number of clicks tells me that something
much more significant has occurred.

Thankfully, the body of the three ads are very similar in
all aspects, except one; the bulleted benefits. In the first
ad, I have given one word answers. In the other two, I
have elaborated.

Bulleted benefits conclusion
One cannot escape the fact that keeping the benefits so
short has had an impact. And not only in click thru's
either. If you look at the graphic under 'Actions' column,
you will see that I have tracked the prospect through to
the signup page. You might expect that the 20%
conversion rate be the same, but it isn't, it has increased
to around 28%. So the shorter bullet points have also
pre-sold more effectively, so the prospects likelihood of
signing up has increased as well.

As a final note, please remember that all of this is
courtesy of tracking my ads. If you don't do it, then you
will struggle to make an impact in the marketing world. Whether you are new to email advertising or not, you cannot ignore this statistically proven information.

Is shiatsu massage the ultimate stress relief treatment?

My first shiatsu massage

I opened my eyes suddenly. He was smiling at me. Then I realised I must have fallen asleep. It was a strange feeling. Energised, refreshed and relaxed, all at the same time. And it was so enjoyable. If that is a full body shaitsu massage, I want another.

Shiatsu massage is done fully clothed, but nothing restrictive must be worn, I was told. I lay on a futon on the floor. He started by placing his hands on my stomach and closed his eyes, just sensing my energy. Then he started to work his way around my body using all sorts of massage techniques combined with stretching and pulling of my arms and legs.

But the best bit was when he worked around my head and neck. That felt so good. And when he moved down my spine with his hands chopping and kneading. My whole body tingled and I felt a rush of energy. I think it was about then that I must have drifted off to sleep.

What is a full body massage?

The session starts with some questions. General health, problems, pain, tension spots and any existing medical conditions. This builds a case history. If you have a number of regular treatments your case history is kept current with the results of each session.

Lying on your back, the giver kneels down beside you and places a hand on your abdomen. This is a 'hara' diagnosis. The Japanese word 'hara' means your centre and it reveals much about your energy system to a sensitive shaitsu practitioner. The shiatsu massage technique involves stimulating or relaxing the acupuncture points or meridians of your body.

The word 'shiatsu' means 'finger pressure'. The purpose of these massage techniques is to release and balance the flow of 'ki' or energy, at points where it has become blocked or overstimulated.

A full body session will include work on your abdomen, chest, shoulders, arms, hands, head, neck, legs, feet and back. You get your arms and legs pushed and pulled. You are kneaded and chopped with hands and static finger pressure is applied at specific points on your body.

Why do you feel both energised and relaxed?

Your body has a network of energy channels or 'meridians' in which your 'ki' flows. This unseen network follows similar pathways to the nervous system and provides a constant supply of life-giving energy.

And just like a busy freeway, blockages in the flow can occur. But unlike a freeway these constrictions often do not clear naturally, causing local pain, tension, irritation or even illness. And because the meridians connect all the organs together, it can cause problems in other parts of your body too.

Shiatsu clears these blockages, freeing your energy, so you feel energised. Clearing blocked energy releases tension. The massaging techniques and the power of 'human touch' has a tremendous relaxing effect on your whole body. This is why you can fall asleep. Releasing all your tension you instantly relax into much deeper levels of mind which border on sleep.

Where does this form of massage originate from?

Shiatsu massage started in the 6th Century in Japan. The modern-day founder of shiatsu as a therapy is Tokujiro Namikoshi and the Institute for Shiatsu therapy which he opened in 1925 on the Island of Hokkaido. After 20,000 graduates, shiatsu is widely practiced in Japan. It is also practiced in China but is called acupressure.

The study of shaitsu involves a lot more than just finger pressure and massage techniques. Students study anatomy, physiology, the meridians and energy 'circuits' of the body, pressure points, case studies and 'hara' diagnosis.

They must have many hours of practice on volunteers and they must be fit and strong. A practitioner must be comfortable sitting, kneeling and squatting on the floor. Something we are not use to doing in the west.

Why shiatsu is the ultimate stress relief

We all lead busy lives balancing work, homes, relationships and many other triggers for stress and tension. These triggers build slowly but surely, especially if your life is 'full-on' with little rest and relaxation. You will notice the signs: inability to relax, irritability or you may suffer from insomnia. These are just a few of the symptoms.

This stress causes body and muscle tension and many inbalances in the way your body works. In turn, the vital energy that flows around your body becomes constricted and blocked causing pain and discomfort. We all know the therapeutic value of massage for releasing tension but Shiatsu combines tension release with energy unblocking, all in one session.

A Shiatsu massage melts away all your accumulated stress and tension and gives you an energy boost all at the same time. There are not many therapies that can do this and be so enjoyable too. IT Career Error! Click Here to Repair

Two years ago Jeff was a discontented software developer. His work left him frustrated and mentally drained each day. His performance reviews were generally positive, but always noted a lack of genuine interest or motivation. He agreed completely with these reviews. Following a specific aptitude test and some coaching, Jeff understood the reason and set his sights on becoming a systems administrator.and he's never looked back.

Jeff's feeling that there was something missing in his career is all too common. Despite the money, the telecommuting-and even the sandals-a growing number of IT professionals are complaining that their work lives seem to have no meaning. And on the surface, this doesn't seem to make sense. These folks seem to have the necessary interest in technology, even the basic aptitudes for it. But they are frustrated by their work, find it tedious and rarely spend their free time reading trade magazines about their profession.

What's the explanation?

In nature, plants and animals flourish when the environment matches their needs. That's why you don't find frogs in the desert. But this is a lesson too many people ignore.

According to one recent study, 80% of corporate employees were in jobs that did not make use of their talents. So is it any wonder that up to 60% of the polled workforce plans to switch jobs in the next 12 months?

Most people-including IT professionals-spend more time researching a home computer purchase than they do deciding on their life's work. They simply assume because they're fascinated with computers that IT is the career for them. Besides, it pays well. But this kind of thinking is all-too-often a direct route to a "toxic job".

What to do?

We all know how to figure out which computer is best for us. We make a chart. We gather information. We assign values. We find the right match between our needs, our desires and pocketbooks. The same kind of evaluation can help us find the right career match. We just need to evaluate a different set of parameters: our interests, values, personality style, temperament and life goals.

If you're going to find a career you truly love, a profession in which you will thrive, you have to align your innate aptitudes/talents with the requirements of the profession. For decades medical students have used certain types of aptitude testing to determine what field of medicine will they be successful in and, consequently, enjoy. It has equally beneficial applications in the IT arena.

Let's look at Jeff again. When he took the Highlands Ability Battery, it revealed that he (a) was above average spatially, (b) had a high rate of Idea Flow, (c) was a Specialist, (d) had a high aptitude for Classification and (e) had only an average aptitude for Concept Organization. He didn't know it, but that combination spelled "frustration" for any programmer.

. A high score on the spatial relations visualization scale meant that Jeff needed to either work with objects or feel a sense of affecting objects and the "real world". Writing software code was too ethereal and abstract for Jeff's brain.

. As a specialist, Jeff preferred being able to identify a body of knowledge and then attempt to master it and be recognized as a master of it. Programming was too "obscure," too generalized.

. Having a high rate of idea flow is great for a comedian or teacher or a writer, but if you're in a career that involves long projects and endless details, it's an ability you won't be using.

. And even though Jeff's high ability in diagnostic reasoning is great for debugging programs, the logical requirements of the coding trade demand a higher level of analytical reasoning than he had.

The end result was FRICTION. A mismatch between the person and his job that Jeff might have avoided if he'd chosen to be a systems administrator instead of a software developer. A systems administrator needs to be good at hands-on work, needs to develop expertise in a specific subject area, finds himself mostly taking on short-term tasks with concrete results and using his diagnostic reasoning skills as a systems troubleshooter.

Once Jeff saw how the discord between software development and his inborn strengths and needs was the root of restlessness, the decision to switch to another field was easy.

"I felt like a 10-ton weight had been lifted off of me," Jeff says. "Knowing that the cause of my aggravation had been the poor job fit, I was able to rid myself of the guilt I felt. I was so optimistic about the future."

So find the work that uses your unique traits and talents. You'll feel as comfortable and at home as a frog in its pond or monkey in the jungle. Steve Bohler, MS, JCTC

Start a Medical Transcription At Home Career

Start a Medical Transcription At Home Career
Copyright 2005 Simplistic Solutions

As a medical transcriptionist, I do get asked several times
a month, how I got started in this business. So many
people nowadays want to work from home, especially mothers
with young children. That's the primary reason I started
my home business ten years ago, so I could be there for my
daughter. I didn't want someone else taking care of her
after school instead of me.

It's really not hard to start a medical transcription
business. The start-up costs are low compared to many
other home-based businesses.

You need a form of education, via home study courses or by
attending your local community college. You do NOT need a
degree in medical transcription to start a business either.
In a short amount of time, usually nine months or less,
you can be working from the comfort of your own home, just
like me.

You will need some equipment, such as a computer, a
printer, a transcriber, and some reference books. All of
which can be purchased second hand if need be. The latest
and greatest equipment is not necessary to get started.

Now, there are some special skills you will need, outside
of the education, which include:

* Excellent grammar skills

* Good Listening Skills,

* Basic computer skills with a word processing program

* Research Skills

* Ability to type - your speed will increase with
experience

* Must be detail oriented

* Ability to work on your own

* Ability to maintain work deadlines and be a
self-motivator

You will also need some computer programs such as a medical
spellchecker and a word expander utility to cut down on the
amount of actual typing you do. Some programs, such as
Microsoft Word® include this type of utility. It is the
best invention by far, in my opinion.

Basic bookkeeping is necessary, but not difficult. A good
bookkeeper is great to have when it comes to taxes and
advising you about saving money with tax deductions for
your business.

Medical transcription is usually paid by the amount of work
transcribed. Therefore, it is quite normal to charge your
clients by the line. If you charge 13 cents per line and
type 200 lines per hour, (this is a very comfortable speed
to type) your hourly rate would end up being about
$26.00.

Being self-employed does have some pitfalls. One must
consider, as with any home based business, that once you
become self-employed you are responsible for securing your
own health insurance, and putting away money for
retirement.

However, there are many positive things about being
self-employed, as I'm sure you can imagine. For me, what I
love the most, is the flexibility I have with my time. If
I want to work late in the day I can, and if I want to work
early in the morning, that's up to me. Running a
home-based medical transcription business is a lot of fun.

Medical transcription is not for everyone, and it is
important before venturing in to any business that you
weigh up the pros and cons of it all and do what is best
for your situation. Michele Miller is a home-based business owner and author of
an Ebook about starting a medical transcription business.

How Do I Advertise My At-Home Business?

Once you have decided on what type of at-home business you are going
to establish, you have to "get the word out"---you need to
advertise! You can spend a lot, or you can spend next to nothing,
but you do have to advertise or you will never attract any clients
or customers.
Remember that this old adage is still very true today:

You have to spend money to make money!
Get a Web Page!
It is as simple as that---get a web page.NOW! And get your own
website, not just free space that is provided by your Internet
Service Provider. This means you will have to get your own
web "domain" and your own web "space." If these terms are totally
foreign to you (as they were to me when I set out to get my own
website), then grab your teenager or that friend of yours who "knows
all about that stuff" to help guide you along.
It isn't nearly as expensive as you think to get your own website
domain (which is the "www-dot" name of a web page, like
www.graphicsbynancy.com). Likewise, it won't set you back too much
to get web space (where you will put your web page). This is
something that can cost you less than $150/year, and will likely pay
for itself ten times over---and more! (By the end of the first year
that I had my own web page, I'd more than tripled my previous year's
income. I didn't spend any time finding clients---they found me!)
As far as creating your own web page, text and graphics, the sky is
really the limit. There are numerous software packages that can help
you, such as FrontPage, and you can find dozens of online tutorials
that will give you hints and tips for creating a website that will
attract clients and create web traffic ("hits" on your website, if
you have an at-home business that is solely web-based).
I was lucky. I found a wonderful lady who helped me to create and
now maintains my website for me. In exchange, I barter my
proofreading services for her own home-based business websites. We
have maintained a valuable working relationship that is beneficial
to both our businesses, and today I'm happy to call her my good
friend!
Barter Your Service for Free Advertising
Regardless of what service your at-home business provides, chances
are you can barter it for free advertising. If you are doing balloon
bouquets for events such as business openings, weddings, or backyard
family reunions, then find someone who will let you put up your
balloons and display a nice sign that reads "Bonnie's Balloons" and
shows your website and email addresses (or other contact
information). Proofread your local church newsletter and have your
byline added at the bottom: Proofreading compliments of Wanda, the
Word Wizard.
Whatever you offer, find someone or somewhere to offer it for free
in exchange for some type of free advertising. It's not the same as
a full-page ad in the Sunday edition of your local newspaper, but
it's a start.
Distribute Brochures, Business Cards, and Flyers
Think logically about the service that you offer. Who would use it?
Where would this target market be likely to see and read a business
brochure or flyer?
Where can you post business advertisements for free? Does your local
coffee shop have a public bulletin board? Is there a bulletin board
at your public library? Can you put a business card holder full of
business cards on the counter at the neighborhood dry cleaner's?
Keep business cards in your purse, wallet, briefcase, and glove
compartment of your car. Don't be afraid to hand them out! Print
lots of them, and use them to jot down messages to leave for friends
who aren't home. USE THEM! You never know who will eventually see
one. Sometimes all it takes for one person to see it and the flood
gates of opportunity will open!
Paying for Advertising
Before you spend any money at all on paid advertisement (with the
exception of the $10 it costs to print your business card in the
Little League All-Stars newsletter), do some research. What is the
readership? How many get printed and sent out? What are the
statistics on return on investment (that is, how much money in
return are you likely to earn for every dollar in advertising that
you spend)?
When you are confident that your investment in paid advertising
might have an acceptable payoff, then try it. Don't expect to see
results tomorrow. However, if you've had poor or no results in more
than 45 days (from the date of publication and distribution), then
it is unlikely that you are going to profit from the venture. This
doesn't mean that you will never profit from paying for advertising,
but it is likely that this publication or print medium wasn't right
for you. So do more research before you pay for advertising again.
Things to Remember about Advertising Your At-Home Business
Get a web page!
Get a web page!
Get a web page! (It's so important, that I had to say it three
times!)

Bread Baking Made Easy

Don’t you just hate it when you follow a recipe to the letter and when the bread baking is finished the bread not only looks nothing like the recipe book’s picture, but tastes terrible as well?

There is no denying that bread baking as with baking anything is a delicate process.

Bread baking involves so many things that first time bakers are often discouraged after a few failed attempts to turn out professional looking and tasting loaves.

Little do they realize that if they only possessed the professional Baker’s secrets bread baking would be so easy that the bread would practically make itself!

For instance: How many amateur bakers know the secret to keeping bread from sticking to the pan every time?

None! So when they try their hand at bread baking for the first time their bread sticks to the bread pan, and ends up a crumbled mess if they try to force it out.

Then they cry and give up thinking that the problem lies with them.

The shocking truth is that it doesn’t!

The problem lies with their lack of knowledge of THE baker’s bread
baking secret.

The secret professional chefs and bakers won’t tell you, the secret they guard so jealously.

My father happened to learn this bread baking secret in his younger baking days and has passed it on to his children ever since.

Okay, okay, I know you’re probably screaming at me by now “Beth, get on with it! Tell us the bread baking secret already!”

So here it is; You will need only one tool besides for the oil and bread pan you already have, and that is quite simply CORNMEAL (you shouldn’t need more than 1/4 to 1/2 cup for two loaves of bread).

“Cornmeal?” you ask doubtfully. “YES, cornmeal!”

No, you do not add the cornmeal to the bread ingredients! That is not the bread baking secret.

What you do is you oil your pan as usual, and you lightly sprinkle cornmeal on all of the sides and bottom of the bread pan.

Now you can safely place your bread dough into the pans without fear of it sticking to them.

While your bread is baking instead of sticking to the pan, your bread will stick to the cornmeal and slide easily out of the pan when done baking.

You may need to use a butter knife and slide it in between the pan and the bread before turning the pan over and allowing your bread to pop out.

A lot of the time this will be unnecessary however and your bread will pop out just by your turning the bread pan upside down.

You will probably also want to use the butter knife to scrape the excess cornmeal off the bottom and sides of the bread as you may not care for the taste of cornmeal.

This bread baking secret will work whether you’re baking a batter bread or a rising bread (also called yeast bread). I personally use it for both.

Here is another treasured bread baking secret, this one only for batter breads:

On the last ten minutes of its baking time cover the bread pan containing the batter bread with another bread pan (a steel bread pan works best), and leave it on until the bread is finished baking.

This will keep the batter bread from burning or becoming too hard on top. You may vary the time you leave the steel bread pan on according to how your batter bread usually looks when it is finished.

If it is a very dark brown on top and difficult to slice because the top is so hard, then 20 minutes will work best. But if it is just a little too hard on top and a little too brown the 10 minutes should suffice.

Do not cover the bread at all if it usually comes out golden and soft on top after the baking is completed.

You may also glaze a batter bread on top with a tablespoon of melted butter mixed with a tablespoon of honey, and sprinkle some flaked coconut or sliced nuts on top of that.

To glaze you start by taking the bread out of the oven five minutes before the required baking time is finished, then spread the butter/honey mixture on top of the bread, sprinkle on your coconut or chopped nuts and bake for the remaining 5 minutes.

Here is another useful bread baking tip for rising breads...

If your bread loaves over rise (say because you were busy and forgot about them), then you can use a pair of scissors to cut off the excess sides, being careful not to cut any dough from off of the top.

You may then use this excess dough to make rolls. You simply oil a pizza or cookie sheet and form the dough into several small balls.

Rise them for another half hour and then bake on 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Do yourself a favor and put these tried and tested bread baking secrets immediately to use in your kitchen, and your family will rave over the results. Beth teaches bread baking how-to’s so simply that with her new eBook ANYONE can bake their own bread. Visit her Bread Baking website now.

Hypnotize the Pounds Away: Weight Loss Motivation Through Hypnosis

Hypnotize the Pounds Away: Weight Loss Motivation Through Hypnosis

Many individuals these days, male or female, young or old, are struggling with weight management. Concerns with rising cases obesity are no longer based upon a Hollywood conception of what is the appropriate body size. Instead of doctors wanting their patients to be "thinner", they want them to be healthier. The patients, however, are not necessarily discerning the difference.

What Has This Lead To?

Both women and men alike are becoming hooked on yo-yo diets. What is a yo-yo diet? Yo-yo dieting describes the process of going on a diet, losing a few pounds and then going off the diet. When the pounds come back, the dieter then begins another diet and the process continues. Repetitive weight loss and gain is hard on the body, especially the heart and of course, it is hard on the emotional state of the dieter as well.

In addition to this, many dieters are using unhealthy methods of losing weight. Many take dieting pills which are often just glorified caffeine pills claiming to be the miracle cure for obesity. Then, there are those who dive into the "fad diets". Whether it is the cabbage or grapefruit diets, many of these do not give individuals the nutrition they need to live healthily. In addition, low carb diets such as Atkins often create abnormally high levels of protein in the body for the liver to digest. After all, man cannot live on meat and cheese alone.

What To Do?

Sometimes, good old diet and exercise is just not enough. Maybe it’s the genes. Maybe it is behavioral choices that we make everyday without realizing how they are undermining our health. So how do we change these behaviors? One method is through weight loss motivation hypnosis. You may have visions of a creepy soul dangling a pocket watch in front of your face and your eyes beginning to spin. However, this is not what hypnosis is.

The goal of hypnosis is to access the subconscious mind. Under normal circumstances, you control your conscious level of thought while your subconscious takes care of the automatic stuff, like tying your shoes or starting the dishwasher, things that do not require conscious thought. Still, your subconscious is like the driving force that works with our conscious brain to control our actions. Sleeping is the time when consciousness is put on the back burner and the subconscious mind can take control.

Dieting Motivation Through Hypnosis

Hypnotism works on relaxing the conscious level of the mind. Although your conscious mind is subdued and the subconscious mind is allowed the front seat, you are still knowledgeable about what is going on. You and your hypnotist will work to "reprogram" the subconscious side of you. If chocolate, for example, is your weakness, your hypnotist may associate chocolate with nausea so that thinking of chocolate makes you feel nauseous. Role Attachment Bondage or Moha plays in gaining Enlightenment

Role Attachment Bondage or Moha plays in gaining Enlightenment

Role Attachment Bondage or Moha plays in gaining
Enlightenment

Attachment... bondage... Moha... state as we may but
the meaning of all three words remains the same.
Christians call it water, Hindus Jala and the followers of
Islamic dharma as Paani... the intent and meaning of all
the three is the same.

Now let me explain this concept from the beginning...

If there was no attachment... bondage or Moha... the
need for any soul to traverse a long journey of 8.4
million lives (a total earthly journey of 96.4 million
years) would never have arisen for the soul within...
rather would not have been required at all. If the God
Almighty desired the chain of all manifestations right
from the very first manifestation to the last manifestation
(the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the last in the series of
evolution)... there must have been a most plausible
cause for it. And what was that?

At the time of the Big Bang when the Evolution was just
taking place at the time of start of the creation... all souls
got scattered all over the Cosmos. These souls on their
cosmic journey gathered impurities on the way. Now, to
come back to their pristine purity these souls required to
remove the dross within. Let me take an example...

Let us assume a lump of gold ore weighing one
hundred KG. And if we presume that this lump of gold
ore contains one KG of pure gold then in spiritual
terms... this one KG of pure gold is a single soul (atman
as we call it in Hinduism) on its cosmic journey and it
does not have within it powers any means to remove
these impurities. These 99 KG of impurities to be
separated from one KG of pure gold require the
requisite mining process.

And this process of purification of one KG of pure gold
from a lump of hundred KG of gold ore is what we are
interested in. This journey for a human being as we can
understand shall get completed in a total of 8.4 million
Manifestations (on the earthly plane it shall mean a
journey of 96.4 million years... a long journey indeed!).

As we can see above... we need the right machinery to
separate the pure gold from the dross within the ore...
every soul (atman) on its cosmic journey requires a
body to work out its Karma and remove the dross within.
Now what is it that keeps the total entity bound for such
a long period of time... is it not Moha... bondage...
attachment which keeps every body attached to the
other and also to materialistic riches of life?

This was necessitated as God the Almighty did not
desire the journey to be completed in a short time. Now,
unless and until we cut through every attachment...
Moha... or bondage... can we expect to get out of the
clutches of karma. No, it is just not possible! To be able
to gain Enlightenment within this life we have to take
absolute control over our five senses and finally the
mind. And this is possible only after we have gained
absolute control over any feeling of attachment... Moha
or bondage!

In other words we have to cut across the shackles of
attachment for overcoming the senses and the mind.
Simply stated it is easy to discuss on the topic of
attachment but it is the most difficult part which one has
to take control of in this life. To detach self completely
from the bondage of your parents, teachers, friends,
relatives and well-wishers is the most difficult part of life
in the life of a true seeker of Enlightenment within this
life. Why?

A moment before whom you called your dearest son or
a daughter... the moment you have crossed over the
boundaries of attachment... you shall not be able to call
your son a son... you shall also be not able to call your
lovely daughter a daughter. For all the children in the
world would have now become like sons and daughters
to you. You shall not be able to distinguish between
your own and the others. The simple divide which
maintained the boundary between your children and the
rest has now collapsed... something really difficult to
bear with!

Easily said than done... the path of Enlightenment is the
ultimate goal of every human being... come whatever
may! None can deviate from this absolute and the only
truth of life. And the absolute truth is that the body of a
human being is merely a garment for the soul within
and whence comes the time it shall be cast away
mercilessly in the hope of getting a new garment... a
new body... a new manifestation! On the earthly plane
someone dies but on the spiritual level... nothing is
lost... all is the result of the process of evolution taking
place every moment of life.

And the final truth that emerges out is, the soul proceeds
on its cosmic journey truthfully and mercilessly and in
the terms of human beings... we have life and death but
in the dictionary of soul (atman as we call it in
Hinduism)... life is a continuous process... nothing is lost
for everything belongs to God the Almighty. It is but for
the soul to shed its dross from one manifestation to
another in order to gain more and more purity and
finally the pristine purity it ever longed for. Having come
full circle... this purified soul becomes enlightened!

And now the question arises... how-to come out of the
feeling of attachment... bondage or Moha (as we call it
in Hinduism). We have to break free from the clutches of
attachment... bondage... or Moha for ever! And it is the
process of Yoga and Meditation which shall help us in
coming free of the shackles of attachment... bondage or
Moha forever. Vijay Kumar... The Man who Realized God in 1993 explains the vital Role Attachment Bondage or Moha plays in gaining Enlightenment. Subscribe free Newsletter "Spiritual Secrets Unveiled" - Explore hidden cosmic truths- at http://www.godrealized.com

Quit Smoking Through Hypnosis

Quit Smoking Through Hypnosis

You have seen and heard the warnings. You know what smoking is doing to your lungs. Perhaps you have tried to quit smoking before, but the gum tastes bad and no matter how hard you tried you just can’t pretend that the inhaler is a smoke. You’ve even tried counseling and prescription medications. So, what else is there for you to try? You should definitely consider hypnosis to help you quit smoking.

Why You Should Quit Smoking

Smoking does many things to your lungs. If you have seen the before and after pictures, you know how smoking takes a healthy pink lung and turns it into a black unhealthy one. Smoking can bring about cancer, emphysema and can increase your chances of heart attack and stroke. What causes this? The chemicals in cigarettes are outstanding and many of them are poisonous. There is also benzene, a chemical in gasoline, cadmium, found in batteries and oil paint, and hydrogen cyanide that cause headaches, dizziness and nausea.

There are actually 4000 chemicals and of these 43 are cancer causing. One ingredient is acetone, an ingredient in nail polish remover. Arsenic. That is right, arsenic, the ingredient that is used to kill rats! Arsenic is what gives your lips a burn and your mouth a very bad taste.

What Happens When You Quit

This is what happens to your lungs after you quit smoking. Within 20 minutes of quitting your heart rate begins to drop. Twelve hours off the smokes brings your carbon monoxide levels to normal. Between two weeks and three months smoke free you begin to lower your risk of heart attacks, and your lung function improves.

Within one to nine months, you will find that your coughing level is lowered and your lung capacity increases. One year, and you’ve already cut your risk of a coronary heart disease is cut to half of what it was when you were smoking. Fifteen years and you now have the same risk of a non smoker of having a coronary heart attack.

What Can Hypnosis Do?

Hypnosis is not what the cartoons and movies portray. You do not sit in front of a creepy man as he sways a dangly object in front of your face. The goal of hypnosis is to suppress the conscious side of the brain, which is the "thinking" part of the brain with which you function most of the day. The purpose is to let the subconscious become available for tweaking by you and the hypnotist. Often, the hypnotist will work to teach your subconscious to equate smoking with something unpleasant, like nausea. While counseling only works on the conscious part of the brain, hypnosis works on the deep rooted subconscious levels of automatic thought.

Many hypnotherapists can help you quit smoking with just a single session of treatment This original article may be placed on your own web site, or included in your ezine or newsletter, provided you display the following:

Racing ATVs at any Level

Those of you who enjoy riding all terrain vehicles as a sport know the wide spread competition among ATV racers. Some ATVers race their quads recreationally amongst their friends and others are much more serious racers. The serious ATV riders compete in races around the United States, some even around the world. These racers are most likely amateur or professional grade, meaning ATV racing is their life.

Along with dirt bikes, ATV quads are a type of motocross racing in most cases. Other ATV riders race in cross country competitions, such as the tournament in Las Vegas where riders race miles across the Mojave Desert. In the ATVing and off road racing world, there are many already well established annual competitions in places such as Arizona and California, just to name a few.

Each race, whether it is a traditional tournament or a newly established competition, will include a different ranking of racers. Some competitions are designated as professional races, where ATV riders are awarded the largest prizes of any competition for winning. Professional and high ranked competitions are, of course, the most popular, have the largest audience and contain the most rigorous racing trails.

From professional ATV racing, other types of tournaments taper down to amateur and recreational riders. All types of ATV racing competitions draw a large and diverse crowd of supporters and spectators. Racing ATVs is a very competitive sport among the participants, and even down to the smallest local races, riders are serious about their sport.
No matter how diverse the varying types of ATV races may be, the diversity within any given ATV competition is greater. Within each ATV tournament many different types of riders are involved. Whether it is a single race or a series of races, riders are classified into racing groups, which are the riders they will be competing against essentially.

The racing classifications are determined by different standards, depending on the rank of competition you are involved in. The type of ATV you drive, its capabilities and motor classification are the main determining factors in grouping ATV racers. In 2004 the standards and rules changed for which class you and your ATV fall in, and they will continue to change as administrators figure out what rules run the best races.

As a result of the multiple classifications of ATV riders, there may be several first place winners in a single race if several classifications are racing the same track at the same time. The classes of riders are only the beginning of diversity within a race. The multiple types, styles and designs of ATVs are reason for the different classes, which creates even more variety in the sport.

While the competition level among ATV racers is high, there are still those who are learning or they just enjoy racing recreationally. For these types of ATVers, you can find local trails or racing tracks. They will often coordinate ATV races with whatever riders are available and some tracks will plan a weekend tournament for all local riders. "Cupcakes!"

Cupcakes!

by Chris Sadler - 1001Recipes2Send.com

Recently I was asked, by a member of my family, for cupcakes
rather than a full size cake for their birthday treat. Although I
was of course willing to indulge them on their special day, I
didn't see the point. Cupcakes to me are just little cakes, what
does the size matter?

Oh I was so wrong. Before the big day, I was lucky enough to
receive Cupcakes! by Elinor Klivans to review. In 144 pages
Elinor showed me the error of my thinking. Not only are cupcakes
tiny versions of big cakes but there just as many variations and
creative ways to make them as there are different kinds of cake.
Maybe even more.

Cupcakes begins with a chapter called "Making Good Cupcakes"
which covers what you need to know about supplies, ingredients,
mixing and baking, storing and freezing, transporting cupcakes
and of course decorating them. The clear concise writing makes it
easy to understand yet with enough detail to help even the most
experienced baker.

Recipes are divided into four categories: Head-Start Recipes;
Classic Cupcakes; Filled Cupcakes; and Celebration Cupcakes. More
than 50 recipes, many with full page full colour photos of the
delicious cupcakes, are included. There truly is a cupcake recipe
for every occasion and everyone in the family. The rest of the
book includes Mail-Order Sources, the Table of Equivalents and
Index.

Finding one recipe to include was difficult so I thought instead
to use one simple frosting recipe which I know many will enjoy.

Cream Cheese Frosting

Adding cream cheese to a powdered sugar frosting produces a
not-too-sweet frosting that has a pleasant cream cheese flavor.
It is soft, but it is firm enough to hold a shape and a good
choice for piping designs and shapes on top of cupcakes. The
basic vanilla-flavored frosting takes well to other flavors,
including cinnamon, lemon or orange zest, or white chocolate.
(See the individual cupcake recipes for exact measurements.)

This frosting is easiest to use when freshly made, but it can be
stored in the refrigerator for 2 days, then brought to room
temperature and beaten with an electric mixer until fluffy again.

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
6 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups powdered sugar

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer on low speed, beat the
butter, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth and thoroughly
blended, about 1 minute. Stop the mixer and scrape the sides of
the bowl as needed during mixing.

Add the powdered sugar, mixing until smooth, about 1 minute, then
beat on medium speed for 1 minute to lighten the frosting

Protecting Yourself From Online Pet Classifieds Scams!!!

Internet Fraud, Classifieds Scams, Abuse and Suspicious Replies are world wide issues that have become widespread in targeting sellers and buyers everywhere specially on the Internet. Often this involves buyers from Nigeria, Africa, Holland and other countries. In recent years, online Pet Classifieds scams have increased and have affected many people.

Online classifieds scams pose threats to both sellers and buyers.

Posing As A Seller:
A Person can post an ad for a puppy that only exist in the item description. Actually, seller doesn't have the puppy that he/she is trying sell or give away. Seller will then ask for money and refer them to the shipping company who is supposed to send the puppy to the buyer. Buyer waits for few days and contacts the seller, but no answer. Tries again for couple of more days..no answer. Finally buyer decides to call the shipping company with the reference number for the puppy. Shipping company replies that they don't have anything related to this reference number or it is not for your puppy. Buyer loses money.

Posing As A Buyer:
A scammer can pose as a buyer of a puppy and contacts the seller. Buyer is desperate to buy and accepts your listed price and suggest that his/her agent will pick up the puppy with a check that is more than the asking price. In return, they ask buyer to deduct amount for the item, get remaining amount and give a fake cashier's check. Seller will lose the puppy and the money.

Make Money Online With Affiliate Programs

If you have wanted to find a way to make money from home
without all the hassle of selling products out of your own home
yourself, perhaps you should take a look at affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs are an excellent way to make money from
home. You can substitute sales pages, which are complicated to
work with, with content and draw in more people to your website
in the process. You do not have to make the actual sale.

How Can One Make Money Online With An Affiliate Program

It all starts with a web site. People crave content websites.
Videos, articles and chat rooms are all different types of
great content. Your job is to choose a theme and stick with it.
Develop the articles or other content and people will come to
it.

As said before, with affiliate programs making you money from
your online website, you do not have to worry about putting
sales pages that would appeal or trying to convince your
visitors to go to a website. Your sole concentration is
visitors, guests to your website means more people clicking on
banner advertisements.

Once your website is running, with great content that people
are coming to see, you can consider picking an affiliate
program to run off your website to earn an income.

Connecting with Affiliate Programs that Make You Money Online

Once you've developed your website, the next step is the
affiliate programs.

But how do you choose an affiliate program that is right for
you? Generally, you'll want affiliate programs that are in the
same vein as your niche website. If you love pineapples and
your website was all about pineapples, you wouldn't put a
squash advertisement up, would you?

In addition, you also want to look at the affiliate programs to
make sure you pick the best deals. If you wouldn't buy things
from the website, why would your customers? Pick a company that
you like, but stands a good chance of you making decent money.

Figuring Out Which Affiliate Program Works Best To Make You
Money Online

You might try a few affiliate programs and wonder why you don't
make any money with them. It's not an easy task trying to get to
know what your readers want as far as advertising. Of course,
all of them would say they wouldn't want advertising at all.

There are several things to look at when you are displaying
your affiliate programs and picking the right ones for the
right pages. You don't want 100 different affiliate programs.
If you are looking to make serious money online with your
affiliate program, you will need to pick just a small handful
to make this work.

Set up your content pages and place your advertising around and
below your pages. One or two adverts per page should be enough.
If you bombard you visitors with ads, they'll go elsewhere for
content.

Try picking affiliate programs that offer a free trial. These
work well when you are first starting out as it concentrates
your efforts into giving away free stuff. Free is easier to
sell these days.

All in all, use your own best judgment. If something doesn't
look to be making money, drop it and swap for a different. Try
new things and see what works best.Joel Teo is the owner of the Money Making
