Waste!!! Where will we put it and will we survive its effects?
Where does it begin, and where will it end?
In the United States, the world?s biggest producer of waste, including food and an
endless collection of unwanted goods, many harmful to our health, the business of
burying in the ground, what we no longer want, need, or have had our fill of, has
become, a billion-dollar business.?But little help to the environment?
According to The World Book Encyclopedia there are more than 6,500 landfills
in the continental United States. The simplest arithmetic produces a total of 130
landfills in each state. More in the larger states and fewer in the smaller state.
